Now, three researchers at the University of Pennsylvania, Alexander Platt, Daniel N. Harris, and Sarah Tishkoff, have done the converse analysis: examining the X chromosomes of the handful of completed Neanderthal genomes we have. It turns out there's also a strong bias toward modern human sequences there, as well, and the authors interpret that as selective mating, with Neanderthal males showing a strong preference for modern human females and their descendants.

The findings go as far to coin the phrase “compulsive unlocking,” referring to when children usually get up—around 7 a.m., mirroring a biological clock that resembles that of a smoker’s—and check their phone almost religiously. The company also girls were 17% more likely to experience anxiety as a result of pressures regarding one’s digital availability and connection.
"[In] the 1960s [it] turned out, in hindsight, we had a near-endless schedule margin there," Isaacman said. "That is certainly not the case today. I'd say this is very, very close from a timeline perspective."
